Kylian Mbappe reportedly upset some Barcelona stars with a comment he made after the final whistle, sparking a massive brawl.

A comment from Kylian Mbappe after his UEFA Champions League heroics against Barcelona reportedly ignited a huge tunnel brawl involving 60 people.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner netted a brace to help Paris Saint-Germain beat the LALIGA giants by four goals to one on Tuesday night (6-4 on aggregate) and progress to the semi-finals of Europe's premier club competition.

The latest reports, however, suggest that the 25-year-old did not only taunt the opposition on the pitch, but off it too.

According to Mundo Deportivo, as a number of PSG stars made their way to the changing room after the final whistle, they expressed their delight at the result, much to the dismay of some Barcelona stars.

Mbappe, who is believed to be fluent in Spanish, is said to have been the most excited of the Les Parisiens group , was reportedly heard shouting: "This is football and it is on the field where we have to talk."

It is said the attacker's comment upset some Barca players, who reacted with insults in return before the situation escalated as a huge bust-up unfolded.

Players, coaching staff, and security personnel are all believed to have been involved in the altercation, creating a reported pile-up of more than 60 people in the tunnel.

However, no injuries or physical damage have been reported since.

It is further claimed that Mbappe aimed a jab at Blaugrana fans after the final whistle, exclaiming "Let's go!" in French as he gestured towards them before hugging PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and making his way off the field.

Mbappe's double on the night took his 2023/24 UCL goals tally to eight, which puts him top of the tournament's scoring chart, one above Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.

With reports linking the France international with a move to Real Madrid when the current season comes to an end, the forward may find himself facing Barca on a more regular basis from the next campaign.
