One of Manchester United's key performers has been ruled out for the rest of the season, the club have confirmed.
Defender Lisandro Martinez was stretchered off during the side's 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
It has since been confirmed that the World Cup winner will not play another minute this campaign after after fracturing a metatarsal bone in his foot.

Statement:
"Lisandro Martinez has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after fracturing a metatarsal bone in his foot."
"However, the Argentinian defender is expected to make a full recovery in time to be ready for the start of next season."
"Martinez sustained the injury in the 86th minute of Thursday night’s 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League."
The Red Devils have also confirmed that Martinez's defensive partner Raphael Varane is also set to be sidelined for a few weeks after coming off with an injury on Thursday night.
