Pitso Mosimane had reason to smile for all events that happened in the past week after closing off his FIFA money award with his first set of three points in Saudi Arabia.
Mosimane is in his first ever relegation-related assignment and with that must get Abha FC out of the mud in the Saudi Pro League.

His third game in charge in match day number 22 of the season landed him his first three points with a 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Al Tai.
It was Abha’s first win in 11 games having last won a match at the beginning of November.
That victory was also the first clean sheet that Abha have kept in the league this season.
Most important was that the points pushed Abha to within two points of the last position of safety, occupied by Al Raed, with 12 games to play.
Abha’s next game is a trip to Liverpool legend Steven Gerard’s Al Ettifaq on Saturday with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane’s Al Nassr awaiting in less than a month.
The win on the pitch against Abha came in the aftermath of FIFA ruling that his former Saudi club Al Ahli pay him millions for breach of contract.
Mosimane won promotion along with the Saudi first division during his time with the Jeddah club from September 2022 to June 2023.
However, Al Ahli failed to meet their contractual agreements resulting in the former Bafana Bafana coach taking the club to FIFA.
The global mother body then ruled that Mosimane be paid USD355 500 (approx. R6,8 million) net as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest per annum effective June 1, 2023, until date of effective payment.
Further payments due to Mosimane are USD8218,80 (approx. R157 000) plus USD3394 (approx. R64 000) as outstanding remuneration, and USD786 000 (approx. R15 million) as compensation for breach of contract without just cause.

This totals approximately R22 million due to Mosimane with Al Ahli due to have a transfer ban imposed if they don’t make payment within 45 days of notification of the decision or don’t appeal.
The rest of Mosimane’s technical team who include Kabelo Rangoaga, Maahir Davids, Musi Matlaba, and Kyle Solomons also won their cases.
