Siyabonga Ngezana has collected the first silverware of his career after a dream debut first season in Europe.

Ngezana in his first season playing for Romanian giants FCSB (formerly Steaua Bucuresti) and was all celebrations on Saturday night after a 2-1 victory over their nearest rivals FCV Farul Constanta in the Championship Play-Offs.

FCSB won the league with three matches to play pushing their overall league titles to 27 though the latest is their first since 2015.

This means next season they will now return to the UEFA Champions League – a competition that they won in 1986.

For Ngezana, the 2023/24 season has been all joy after making the switch from Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the season.

As has been the case for most of the season, Ngezana put in a solid shift at the back playing 90 minutes in his 31st appearance of the season.

The 26-year-old is already a subject of interest from other European clubs.
